Servants of Christ Jesus (scjesus.org)

Vision
With Zeal for a New Evangelization, we desire to help souls respond to Jesus by means of preaching, teaching, spiritual exercises, administration of the Sacraments, and assistance to the poor.

When Jesus is our first love, we find ourselves beloved lovers of God.

We are a missionary men’s community, helping souls meet and love Jesus as Lord.
We practice prayerful and penitential chastity, poverty and obedience in the footsteps of our Savior. We are inspired by St. Francis of Assisi and St. Ignatius Loyola in fraternity and apostolic generosity.
We evangelize and disciple youth, preach retreats, train missionaries, and provide spiritual direction. We live and work in Denver, and we are on mission wherever He calls us.
We die to ourselves, to live for Christ and for His Bride, the Holy Catholic Church.

We are the Servants of Christ Jesus.

We, the Salesian Sisters of St. John Bosco, dedicate ourselves completely to young people, the poor, and women at risk.  Together with our collaborators and benefactors, we are responding to the profound hopes of today’s youth through education and evangelization. True to our mission of forming good Christians and honest citizens, we have made a positive impact in society and are blazing a path for the future.

Do you have a Vocation?

Don’t think too hard…the answer is Yes!

Every single person was created by God and called by God…so we all have a calling. Some people are called to marriage, others to the single life, and some to serve God and his Church through the vocation of religious consecration (sisters and brothers), diaconate, or priesthood.

How do we know what path God is calling us to follow?

We have to seek to HEAR God’s voice!

  • Hearing Starts by Listening – spend time daily in personal prayer and reading Scripture. Ten minutes and day will change your life. Try it!
  • Eucharistic Adoration and the Sacraments – spend time with Jesus in the Eucharist, attend Mass, and participate in confession, and he will reveal his plan for you.
  • Appointment with a Priest or Religious – get to see what the life of a priest, brother, or sister is about by talking to a real, live person…he or she won’t bite!
  • Retreat – go on a retreat or discernment weekend. You will learn more about yourself, and God will bless your openness!

Vocation Resources

Did you know that every diocese has an office for the promotion of vocations?

These vocations offices have a vocations director who is entrusted with helping men and women discern their particular vocations. Below you will find links to the Vocation’s Office websites for the dioceses that have attended the 2024 Steubenville Lone Star and of the Rockies Conference.

Some diocesan sites contain more information than others, but all have some way of contacting the office of vocations and learning more about the discernment process. If detailed on the site, the vocations director and his contact information are included below for your reference.

In addition to the diocesan vocations office links, the bottom of the page contains two links to assist with discerning men’s and women’s religious orders, which are rich with knowledge about consecrated religious life and the discernment process.
