Information on Check In and Check Out for the 2024 conference coming soon

Group Check In is located Inside the Sobeys Inspiration Hub – 5907 Gorsebrook Avenue Check in is Open from 2:00-5:00 At check-in you’ll receive room assignments, room keys, and lanyards for your entire group. You’ll also receive important information about the weekend and have an opportunity to ask any last-minute questions. See Map: https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=1ftTmIZM3eeYB73V6RxPCUhzPgnBq_VM&ll=44.631565138231615%2C-63.57973166413287&z=17

Check-out is 11:00am on Sunday. We ask that group leaders collect keys from all participants in their group and return them to the residence front desk before the morning session. Return the keys as well as the group list you signed and received when you checked in on Friday. Please return your group’s keys together rather than asking participants to drop their own keys off individually. When the keys are returned individually, it is more likely that mistakes will be made in accounting for them and that groups may be charged in error for lost keys.

Remember while packing:

Catechism of the Catholic Church 2521: “Purity requires modesty, an integral part of self-control. Modesty protects the intimate center of the person. It means refusing to unveil what should remain hidden…. It guides how one looks at others and behaves toward them in conformity with the dignity of persons and their solidarity.

Cell Phones

Cell phones are allowed during the Steubenville Conference. The best use for a cell phone during a Steubenville Conference is to stay connected to your group, view the schedule and messages on the MyParish app, and to share stories with your family and friends at home! With this in mind, it is hard to fully enter into the conference weekend if you are on your phone all the time, so we invite you to turn off your phone and spend time with your group! Please do not use your cell phone during the sessions and especially during adoration or Mass.

Prayer Ministry

Prayer is the heartbeat of new life in Christ, by the power of the Holy Spirit. We encourage groups leaders and chaperones to pray with their young people – and each other!    May we always call upon the Holy Spirit to give us the gifts and graces we need to support going deeper in our understanding of God and his call on our lives as his sons and daughters, using the gifts he so graciously bestowed on us.

Various members of the local team will be available for prayer ministry.  Feel free to approach one of your chaperones or a conference volunteer to ask for prayer! Visit the Chapel in Loyola Room 183 to take some time in prayer.

Smoking/Wi-fi

The Saint Mary’s University campus (indoors and out) is completely smoke free. Those who wish to smoke are asked to leave university property. During sessions we ask all participants, including adult chaperones, to refrain from smoking.
