He lives in Richmond, Virginia, with his wife and children and is the director of Evangelization at Saint Bridget Catholic Church.

Matt Regitz

After graduating from Texas A&M and pursuing an oilfield sales career, Matt Regitz took a leap of faith and became the youth minster at his parish in Houston, Texas. The mission has grown to include parishes around the world as he serves as a global leadership coach with Divine Renovation Ministries. Matt and bride, Stephanie, started Survive and Thrive Ministries to share their story of healing and hope with other families. The rest of the Regitz clan includes their four children at home and a daughter in heaven, Mary Clare. They love soccer games, barbecues, road trips, and the communal life.

Nic Frank has been reaching youth and young adults all around the country for over a decade. He has worked in large and small parish communities, sharing the Gospel and walking with people as they enter into a personal relationship with Jesus. Fr. Rufino Corona, TOR

Father Rufino Corona, TOR, is a friar on the campus of his alma mater, Franciscan University of Steubenville. Shortly after his graduation, he entered the Third Order Regular of St. Francis and was ordained in 2020. Having grown up in California as a self proclaimed “conference kid,” Father Rufino is excited to minister at the conferences for the first time this summer.

Heather Khym

Heather Khym is an established speaker and worship leader with over 25 years of experience. She attended Franciscan University of Steubenville where she studied theology and catechetics and met her husband, Jake. Currently, Heather speaks on a variety of topics, leads conferences, retreats, and women’s ministry, and has a successful Catholic podcast called “Abiding Together.” Her passion is in evangelization, discipleship, and creating an environment for people to have a personal encounter with God. She lives in British Columbia with Jake and their three teenage children.

Youth Minister Coffee House

Coffee is available for youth ministers at the Coffee House, located in Room 203 on the Upper/Main Level.

Youth ministers are invited to come together for a time of restoration and ministry at the Youth Minister Gathering on Saturday from 1:30-2:15 pm at the Coffee House in Room 203.

Rules and Regulations

Life Teen is committed to creating an unforgettable and life-changing experience for the youth we serve at Steubenville Conferences, and effective relational ministry is key to creating this experience.

All participants are expected to maintain a Christ-centered atmosphere and treat others with respect and kindness.

Safe Environment Guidelines
All adults attending a Steubenville Conference hosted by Life Teen are responsible for setting and maintaining clear, appropriate boundaries in all ministry relationships, following the Safe Environment Guidelines laid out here. In addition to those safe environment standards, all groups should adhere to the policies defined by their home diocese. Any suspected inappropriate behavior should be reported to a member of the event staff.

Chaperone Supervision
Adult chaperones must be with youth at all times during the conference. Youth should not wander around the facility without a chaperone present. It is the chaperone’s responsibility to keep the youth safe and supervised at all times throughout the weekend.

Please be sure to always maintain groups of three of more. An adult and a teen should never be alone without another person present. If, for pastoral purposes, an adult needs to have a private conversation with a minor, this must be done in the line of sight of others.

Teens are expected to remain present for every session. If it becomes necessary to leave, teens must be accompanied by an adult chaperone and at least one other individual.

Smoking/Alcohol/Weapons
Participants will not possess or be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Except for designated outside areas, all conference venues are smoke-free facilities. Group leaders and chaperones will not smoke or use tobacco products, including vaping, or use profanity in the presence of teens. Weapons are not permitted at the event.

All participants, including adults, are expected to dress appropriately in modest attire. Low-cut tops, miniskirts, short shorts, and clothing with offensive language or obscene pictures are not permitted. Shoes must be worn at all times.

Conference Identification / Wristbands

Conference wristbands identify you as a participant of the Steubenville West Conference.  Wristbands are to be worn at all times while at the conference. The wristbands are given to the group leader upon check in and are to be distributed to all chaperones and teens.

If a wristband breaks, please bring the wristband with you to the Guest Services Table located in the Grand Lobby. The broken wristband will be exchanged for a new one.

Please visit the Chapel throughout the weekend. It is located in Room 201 on the Upper/Main Level.

Buses / Parking

Car/Van Parking
All vehicles carrying 15 or fewer passengers should use the S. Granada Ave. entrance and take a right before the main entrance circle to enter Lot B.

Please use ONLY the 1st-3rd parking lanes to park personal vehicles.  The spaces beyond the 3rd parking lane are reserved for bus staging and parking.

Bus Staging
Buses must use the W. Cushing St. entrance to El Paso Ave.  Buses should then make an immediate left into Lot B.

The 4th-6th parking lanes in Lot B will be the bus staging area.  If your bus is not going to be parked on site for the day, please use those lanes to unload/load your groups. Volunteers will be on hand to assist with directing traffic.
Your driver can stage the bus for loading no earlier than 30 minutes prior to dismissal and must stay with the bus while waiting.

Bus Parking
A limited number of bus parking spaces are available in the 7th parking lane of Lot B for those needing to park the bus on site for the day.

Pedestrian Safety
When crossing the street between Lot B and the main entrance, please be sure your teens pay attention to traffic.
